  Good food and friendly staff (apart from who I assumed was the manager), however, said manager came in and flat out insulted me half way through my breakfast. I had come in just before the kitchen was closed, I was unsure of the closing time to start with, and said that it was fine and I understand that the kitchen is closing (I am a cook myself and know how this feels to have a customer walk in 5 minutes before close). The manager and cook insisted so I came in to eat. Half way through my meal the manager came in with a quite sour look on her face and asked me rather uncouthly; "Do you have a problem with the times?" and expressed with the attitude of a two year old that I had told them I was "Pissed Off" with the opening times. I was genuinely confused as I had said no such thing. The old sultana continued to stand there and insult me. I had none of it, so I aplogised to the cook who had taken the time to prepare my meal when she was closing for not eating the food and walked out without paying. However, if you can put up with old winded bags making a big farce of nothing, the food is quite good and kitchen very clean.

  Beds comfy. Shower was horrible, always changing temperature, and water ran under the screen. But otherwise good.

  Easily the best motel in Ayr. But they still have that issue of the shower water not being contained, due to the very open design of the bathrooms. Great food in the restaurant under the motel - just don't expect to turn up after 2000 expecting food!
